With over 30 years of experience, Alandas has grown from a small family business into a beloved name, known for our award-winning gelato and seafood.
Starting out as a small family-run fish and chip shop in East Lothian, with a vision to bring fresh, highquality food to the local community.
As a family, we worked hard, putting years of dedication to refining our recipes, understanding the importance of quality, as well as building relationships in the industry with trusted suppliers, and our growing customer base.
Expanding into events across Scotland, we launched Alandas Seafood, with our Longniddry Bents site becoming a showcase for our passion for fresh seafood.
This was the year we opened our first Gelateria in North Berwick, complete with a micro-factory in store, crafting artisanal gelato with handmade ingredients.
Recognised as the Scottish Ice Cream Champions in 2017, 2018, and 2021.
We brought our handcrafted gelato to the heart of the capital, opening Alandas Edinburgh on the infamous Forrest Road.
In 2022, our gelato received 18 Scottish Ice Cream Awards, and then 19 RHS Scottish Ice Cream Awards in 2023, and finally last year, 11 of our gelato won the awards and Alandas Gelato received the prestigious Good Food Award, highlighting our growing skill and creativity behind every flavour.
As we continue to grow, our passion for fresh, high quality food remains at the heart of everything we do. The future is looking sweet, and we’re just getting started!
