Inside the visitor centre you’ll learn all about bees and the process behind creating honey – there’s even an observation hive where you can watch the bees bringing in the pollen. Plus, once you’ve finished exploring you can end your visit with some honey-infused treats, including honey flapjack, honey sponge and heather honey oaties. These are the perfect sweet treat after a Haggerston dinner. 

 

A day at Cocklawburn Beach

Fancy a day out at the seaside? Pick up a bag of our renowned Haggerston fish and chips and make the short journey to the picturesque Cocklawburn Beach. Paddle in and out of the cooling seawater or set up a small picnic area on the sand, and watch the rocking waves and passing boats as you dig into your food – bliss.

 

Conundrum Farm

You and your kids will get to enjoy a guided tour around the farm, getting to feed and greet the animals, which include lambs, piglets, and goats. There’s even a Fun Barn, an indoor play area that includes pedal tractors, a sand pit and a bouncy castle, as well extremely cute guinea pigs and rabbits.

If the sun has you longing for a game of golf, you’re in luck. There are two main golf clubs in Berwick-upon-Tweed, and those are Goswick Golf Club and Magdalene Fields Golf Club. Both offer fantastic courses for golfers, with views that stretch right across the beautiful local scenery.
